ABOUT CT Dent Worx
I grew up in a restoration body shop that belonged to my dad. Graduated from New England Technical Institute in 1993 for auto body repair. After a few years in the body shop world I went to work for Dent Wizard in 1997. There I was trained in the art of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).
In June Of 2020 I left Dent Wizard after 23 years to start my own venture to offer exceptional service to my customers.
In June of 2022 I opened a shop here in Berlin CT to create the best experience for our customers.
In 2023 Will Malave came on board and we started adding lines of service including but not always limited to Ceramic coating, Vinyl Wrap, PPF, Brake Caliper Painting and more.

Can you repair dents on aluminum panels with PDR?
Yes, paintless dent repair (PDR) works on both steel and aluminum panels. Our technicians use specialized tools and techniques to safely restore aluminum surfaces without damaging the original paint.
How soon after a hailstorm should I schedule repairs?
It’s best to schedule hail repair as soon as possible. Leaving dents untreated can make your car more vulnerable to paint cracking and rust—especially in varying weather conditions.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
A professionally applied ceramic coating typically lasts 2 to 5 years depending on the product used and how the vehicle is maintained. Regular washes and proper care can help maximize the lifespan.
Can I take my car through an automatic car wash after getting PPF installed?
It’s recommended to wait about 7 days after PPF installation before using an automatic car wash. After that, touchless car washes are safe, though hand washing is always preferred to preserve the film.
Will dents from a previous vinyl wrap show through the new wrap?
Yes — vinyl wraps conform to the surface underneath. If dents are not repaired before applying a new wrap, they will remain visible. We recommend correcting dents first with PDR.
Can you repair dents on plastic bumpers with PDR?
PDR is primarily used for metal panels. For plastic bumpers, we offer alternative repair options depending on the severity of the damage. Contact us for an assessment.
Does PDR affect my factory warranty?
No. PDR is a non-invasive process that does not affect your vehicle’s factory warranty. Because it preserves the original paint, it is widely accepted by manufacturers and dealerships.
What type of maintenance does PPF require?
Paint protection film (PPF) is very low maintenance. We recommend regular washing and occasional use of PPF-safe sealants to maintain clarity and hydrophobic properties.
How do I know if my dent is a good candidate for PDR?
If the paint is intact and the dent is not on an extreme panel edge, it’s likely a great candidate for PDR. We offer free inspections to confirm if PDR is the right solution.
Will ceramic coatings prevent rock chips?
Ceramic coatings add a slick, protective layer that resists light scratching and chemical damage, but they do not prevent rock chips. For rock chip protection, paint protection film (PPF) is recommended.
